Sena is really a mess

Ditto. I use mine for background music 99g of the time. But it is so much nicer to push a button and be able to talk about road dangers, change of plans, etc.

I taught my wife to ride and it was worth it's weight in gold when I started taking her out away from the backroads.

I picked up some noise canceling wired earbud instead of using the speakers...MONEY! Even though I could hear fairly well with the speakers the ear buds are way nicer.

I have the Sena 20s

 

If done right I find it much safer than trying to communicate to a fellow rider via hand signals, etc. It’s especially handy if for example you are the lead rider and see gravel in a turn. Pays for itself in some cases like that.
I certainly don’t want to have a chat while riding about the political climate or what you had to eat last night though. We use them riding trails and they are awesome.
