The last few bike rides I've took this week, I keep seeing stars outside my main field of vision, especially when I get down low on the tank. This happened the last 2 years but seems to be happening a bit more frequently.

Anybody else get this? Kinda freaks me out sometimes wondering if I should pull over. Usually I just sit up straight and take a deep breath and they go away.

    Get it checked out.
Possible sign of a damaged or detached retina.

As others have said, go see your doc. Another thing that can cause those symptoms is congestion, it can be your brain "thinking" it's out of air under exertion and starting to shut down blood flow even though you are actually fine.

    Steeltoe What's my move?

Yeah I've had this problem for years. It sucks having an immense pecker and getting dizzy every time Jessica Alba pops in for espresso.

Also low iron content in your blood can cause that. I've experienced that before.

    MGarrett50 Ready. Set. Go.

Could be as simple as your position on the bike or your leathers restricting blood flow or oxygen. Or even your helmet when you're tucked in and looking up. But as others have said, don't mess around waiting for it to get worse.

I flirt with severe iron deficiency anemia almost constantly due to crowns disease and a low absorption rate. Iron shots, iron I.V's, blood transfusions, & HGH.....been through it all

I've experienced what you're talking about, but certainly NOT while racing.....& I would most definitely NOT recommend racing when experiencing this.
Go to the dr, or don't.....but please don't endanger those around you.
