The $230billion market capitalization that Facebook lost today is greater than the annual GDP of 145 of the 190 countries in the CIA world book database. It is on par with the GDP of Vietnam. Twice that of Ukraine. 15 years worth of the entire economic activity of Jamaica. 4 months of Saudi Arabia's entire economy. https://www.worldometers.info/gdp/gdp-by-country/
All for a data mining dog pic and breakfast sharing computer software company. Ever stop and wonder if we've lost the plot?
Not mutually exclusive, but I'm leaning toward the latter. And maybe even a third metric of a decade too early if this metaverse thingymabob ever takes off. I'll tell ya in ten years which it is.
I cancelled my RIVN buy order to get the FB... didn't see it hitting $50 soon. If it does I'll look thru the couch cushions...
It's funny how it takes the largest losses, yet then takes the largest gains. It's like... at what point should I trade this over to ETH or BTC? Longest damn yoyo I've ever seen.
I think @motion must have sold his electric car stock. They are all actually going up today. Well all the ones I care about. Plus I sold some stock that had gone up but was now flat and bought more electric car and Astra space. When you buy a bunch and they are down 30-50% it really makes them look not as far down. So I've got that going for me. Hell they are now practically flat....So I keep telling myself.
