Those same retail investors can also setup some pump and dump, just like the big firms have done. Interesting times
When "retail" is pooled into institutional type money and is controlled from a centralized framework (WSB), it ain't "retail". It's Crowd Sourced Institutional Investing™.
I'm trying to forget. There was a time when I thought that would be my life. Turns out, though, I just hate people. This thread is giving me the itch for the investment game again, though. It's like a crack addiction that you have to really work hard for.
Good luck... I put in a limit order at $32 good till 11/15, unless it takes a big dip I think I missed the boat
Two Vanguard funds that keep my 401k rolling, VMCIX & VIIIX. Bought AMD and BABA Jan of 2020, BABA was a shit buy but AMD has made some $$$, hope BABA gets back to atleast $200+ a share so I can bail on them.
I bought it as a long-term investment. I was up 90% a few months ago before China started acting up. I bailed out when I got down to zero. It kept going down about 10% more. I might buy again in the future, since Warren Buffett recently jumped in.
Those two funds have been the bread winners in my 401k, I'm in deep with both of them and glad I am. If they keep gaining at this rate I'll have another comma added to the portfolio in 6 or 7 years.
