?'s about going AMA Racing for the Kahuna

    I'm thinking about running the Pro Thunder race at RA next month at the Kahuna. I'm currently not a AMA member nor have I ever raced in a AMA race. Just looking for the best way to get setup up for that race, and what I will need to have in order to do so. Thanks

    First - make sure you want to do it and then get started on the license ASAP as they don't allow you to join when you get to the track, it all has to be handled ahead of time.

    Call them at (614) 856-1900 and ask them to send you a licence application today. I got mine in 2 days. Unfortunately it looks like it will be next year before I can use it as I can't make it to the Big Kahuna weekend...

    Tracee is right! There is no Pro-Thunder at Road A. You might try Portland instead?

    Thanks for the input guys. Guess that answers it if the won't be running the Pro Thunder at the event. Maybe the VIR national etc.. would be an option. No way I'm going to Portland.

    Hell I would have got my a#$%^ kicked any how, but it would have been fun.
