I'm liking the mobile version. Will try it out on the computer when I get home.

 

You must be a youngin. When I pull up the new version on my phone all I see is the banner at the top and a section that scrolls with the most recent articles. Below that there is a header that says "Breaking News" but I have to scroll down to see anything and when I do the first article takes up the whole screen with a "Read More" button and then I have to scroll down another full screen to see the next article. Rinse, lather, repeat.

On the old site there were at least 2-3 days worth of articles on a single screen and I could pick and choose which ones I wanted to view without any scrolling. Anybody worth their salt in UI design knows scrolling is bad and you want to present the most information in a single screen to not lose interest of the user.

It's even worse on my tablet as there is an advertising banner at the top of the screen and you can't even see the full frame of the most recent articles that scroll below it. You can't even see the Breaking News title when you first get to the page. And once you scroll down, the pictures next to the article titles cut off the words on the title.

I know I'm old and crotchety but I give the new site 2 thumbs down.

LOL! It's not cursive, it's italic. Your eyes must be really old!

 

If you simply click on "NEWS"....it will bring up the entire feed. Just keep scrolling down.

That's the whole problem. You can only see three things at a time.

I liked it best when we went to the large glossy format. The pretty slick pages was a real nice upgarde.

 

I liked it better when the pages were B&W and the pages were oversized. Gawd damn communist pre-version switching away!

 

Not sure how you can give it thumbs down, what with your thumbs being old and worn out from scrolling.

 

ok after I get home to see who won at barber I get on and guess what?
Not only can you NOT see results you get half a page covering all the results with no results!
Im officially looking elseward for info until someone sorts this out.

but thanks page still sucks as of right now way its setup.
