Another great one goes down. I was reading a rather depressing article recently that people in their mid 50's and 60's will start losing all of the icons they grew up with at a very rapid pace in the next few years. I know, it's inevitable. Check out a rather low key movie he made in the early 80's called Thief. Great movie. Here's a great write-up...https://www.washingtonpost.com/obituaries/2022/07/07/james-caan-actor-godfather-dead/
I don’t care what anyone says, I loved him in Honeymoon in Vegas. Everyone was great in that movie. RIP.
Have to agree, so many famous people of my era, (I’m 64) have passed away. It’s damn terrifying. Just saw Robert Duvall on tv the other, he’s looking so damn old. Really hate to see so many of my faves moving on. Spoiler alert, no one makes it out of here alive.
I looked up Duvall he's almost 92 years old Clint Eastwood the same. Al Pacino and Francis Third Coppalla 83... I grew up watching movies, both my older brothers were projectionists..so it was a shoe in that I'd love the movies.. And your right. .It's saddening, that "our world" is disappearing & a hard and fast reminder...that we ourselves...just are not going to be around that much longer. My brain ...treats me as if I'm still young...I still think n act in many ways ...youthful. That can be good ..but also sets us up for moments like this. Loved him in so many films, but "Theif" was such a damn good movie. I've kept a gun in many cars, as depicted in that film ..lol And Misery ; him and Kathy Bates together ..WOW what a perfect combination! That was.
We just saw him in real life 2 weeks ago walking down the street in Ashville. He's getting up there for sure but didn't look frail or anything. Dude has some more in him I bet!
