His video slippin hit me hard as fuck when it came out. The candor and vulnerability in his voice. Hits even harder now. I’ve lost so many people in my life to their demons. Ive had my demons. Still do. This guy wore those fuckers on his sleeve and said “this is me, I’m a man, I am flawed” Rest In Peace. celeb deaths dont get to me much. This one did.
And to the guys who don’t know who he was, we are just messing with ya but here is a screen shot from him in concert. I’d say he was a big deal in the 90s.
There are sooo many songs that I still play daily..... slippin Damien Good girls bad guys No love for me X gonna give it to them I actually never like the anthem cause it was kinda over played and poserish around the bike scene here. Kinda how I feel about the silly biker movies too. but damn, dudes songs could get you amped. more than once I would use his songs before a fight or a race to just get mad. Lol
A bunch of fucking idiots who block streets and do stupid shit is not remotely what I do or what I love on or off track. So he was not rapping about what I love.
I get it I get it. See I was into this and then I found the race track. I never shut down streets but was into the street hooligans wheelies and stoppies. Then I found the track. This was like my teenage years in riding.
