RIP Coy Gibbs

Past away in his sleep after his son TY won the Xfinity championship. He loved motocross and is the reason Gibbs had a team for so long

 

49 years old. Too young.

 

I really dislike his kid Ty, but what a roller coaster day. Highest of high, to lowest of low, all within hours.

 

This doesn't look like a guy who's going to die in his sleep in a few hours.

 

Lots of "sudden and unexpectedly" causes of death this last year and change.

 

Yeah, I wonder what's causing that ?

 

Chip shortage?

I've heard that those energy drinks loaded up with whatever's in them, isn't so good for you either.

But, I'd look elsewhere for an answer, all things considered. Just ABove me.

Wow, so sad to hear. When I was working Supercross races Coy was super nice and let us hang with him and the kids in the JGR semi during those 17-hour race days.

 

He had the same condition that his brother died from?

 

If Coy was dealing with the same thing, he hid it very well. A lot of my friends and I are tied to JGR in one way or another and it was never, ever, mentioned once.

It's very shocking to a lot of us that spoke to him late Saturday night because there was not a hint of him not doing well. However, I guess it's the cliche of you never know.

 

He was also played football at Stanford.
RIP sir.

 

That's what, I'd never seen it mentioned that he had the same condition.
