I’m seriously considering a set of Metzeler TD slicks for my track day bike.

I know these do not require tire warmers, but can I still use use the warmers for the Jan-Mar desert weather trackdays to be safe? Will heating these up be safe?

Warming your tires to preset the hot pressures and keep the heat in the tire before each session will not harm any tire.

    That’s going on the toolbox.

    Thank you!

Just ordered a set from MotoGarage. I hope I can have the bike ready by mid-month Chuckwalla TD.

    Going on a 2004 Gen 1 ZX10R track build.

Just waiting on fairings, race subframe, race fairing stay, and a few small parts.

    Should be fun.

You'll like them. I have the "previous gen" of them, the CompK slick. I use warmers as well. I think it's an awesome tire. Also purchased mine from MotoGarage. Their customer service was great and they answered all of my questions.
