    Question for NFL fans!!!

I honestly hate it and I hope they change the way overtime games are decided.
I think both teams deserve a chance to get the ball at least once or they should just add an extra 10 minutes!
A flip of a coin sounds like the easy way out! That's just not fair to the other team!

    What you guys think?

Eh, at the risk of drawing the ire of the beeb I'll respond on topic:

    Bullshit.

If your defense can't stop 'em from getting 3 you deserve to lose. This ain't baseball.

I guess I'll dumb myself on down and join in...just to put an end to it. I hear this complaint a lot, and used to feel the same way about it.

The fact of the matter is...Over the history of modern overtime in the NFL, the team that wins the opening coin toss in OT only wins the game 52% of the time. How's that for fair?
The college OT system is far less even, despite how things look to be:up:

I say if the game goes into over time............the cheerleaders of the respective teams should gang jell-o wrestle. Last cheerleader with an article of clothing on.......her team wins.

    :stupid:

It is a team sport and defense is half the equation. Just because you win the coin toss doesn't mean you get the ball in FG range. The only people who think it needs to be changed are people that are fans of teams with weak defenses.

Besides if it were a mortal lock that they would score on the first possession then why didn't they score more during the first 60 minutes.

I think ties should be eliminated. Play until someone wins.

Bullshit huh? Okay why do teams go to overtime?
They both failed to beat the other team during regulation which means that both teams at some point were not able to stop the other team from scoring 3 or 7 points!
So ur saying that both teams should lose?

3 things make a Football team: offense, defense and special teams!

I can see and understand everyone's point of view!
I just happen to be one of those that's against it, from what I've seen there's a greater number of people that would love to see the the NFL change the current overtime rules.

Thanks god we as racers don't go to overtime!!! :D

They need to change some of the officiating bullshit first, then leave overtime rules the same.
