A few friends and I did an absolutely EPIC road trip last week, on some of the best roads ever. Beartooth Pass, Chief Joseph Highway, Yellowstone Park, Lolo Pass, St Joe's River Road, Lake Koocanusa, and more. It was absolutely amazing! A few photos from along the way:
Thanks. Yes, and the fact that he rode that badboy on a bunch of dirt and gravel roads, through the mud, and endured nearly 3000 miles on a bike with a plank for a seat, and rock-hard suspension.
As a fellow Brutale owner who did 4k on it over two weeks on many of the same roads: I salute him. That seat sucks ass!
man i have GOT to get out west and do some of those roads and sites.. thanks for sharing.. im jealous
That's the Old Spiral Highway, just above Lewiston, Idaho. Although I don't think you'd really want to live there. My kids always called it "Lewistink," when I used to take them up there for swim meets. There is a big industrial plant on the Clearwater River just outside of town (Potlatch?), that gives off a continuous pungent odor. Plus it was about 100 degrees when we were there. Fun road, though! Only like eight miles long, but new, very grippy asphalt, with hairpin after hairpin, perfectly banked!
This was fairly tough on Google Maps, as some of the back roads we took just don't get recognized by the system very well. Because of that, I had to split it into two parts: Part One Part Two Zoom in, and you can see just how twisty and fun some of these roads are.
