A friend of mine just installed a power commander in his Kaw 636. The bike runs great, but now the fuel injection fault light comes on sporadically, from idle to about 5000 rpm. Is this a serious problem, or is the computer reporting a fault because it detects the PC "messing" with things?

  2. Disconnect the battery for a little while (20 min or so) and then reconnect. See if it still happens.

OK. We tried disconnecting the battery, but not for that long. We'll try that this evening.

I have one installed and it hasn't caused any problems, maybe a bad connection?

simple test unpulg the power commander and see if the light comes on...if it does welcome to power commander land. but make sure the connectors are good and seated... make sure the map is good.
