Papa Helicoptered after crash today

Papa Thiam was injured in a crash into the tire wall in turn Three today at Summit Point.Why there was no Air Fence will be something we all can think about and discuss AFTER we get an update on his condition. We were told at an impromptu ribers meeting that he was coherent and talking. Thank you George for the way you handled the meeting and the rest of the schedule at a time that was obviously hard on you. Prayers People ,please.

This is the last thing I wanted to see! Poor Papa. I'm glad to know that he was coherent, though. He will definitely be in my prayers.

I just got back from Summit, will someone please post and update on Papa, they told us at the rider's meeting after his wreck that they didn't want to tell us how he was because "he wouldn't have been airlifted because of a broken pinky" so someone PLEASE let us know he's ok......

Um...not sure how to start this post, so I'll just go stream of conciousness....

I just wanted to send out a *huge* thanks to everyone that helped me load up Papa's stuff. There were a ton of you and everything got done quickly. This is one of the greatest aspects of racing, the camraderie and sense of community. Without being asked, a ton of fellow racers, (friends and strangers alike) descended on Papa's pit to help out. A great big thanks to Shane X, (sorry Shane, didn't catch your last name), who followed me in my van as I drove Papa's stuff to my parents so I could lock it up.

A few of us are going to try and see Papa tomorrow night; I will post an update later, when I have solid information. No sense posting wild speculation and getting all riled up.

Please, everyone, keep him in your thoughts and prayers and let's wish him a speedy recovery.
