I have a '00 R6, and am going to paint the frame and swingarm black, I need some suggestions on the process and types of primer/paint I need. Nothing gaudy, a flat black seems to be the way to go. Any help is appreciated. Brian

"Always begin and finish spray pattern off of the object, releasing the button at the end of each pass. " That's the single most important thing. Second is to make sure you remove all the gloss from the previous paintjob.
I got lots of experience with painting my bikes and believe me GixxerBlade has it right. I painted some stuff on my F3 years ago with the spray can and everyone thought it was powder coated. I recommend Duplicolor "Bumper Black". It is a satin type of color and lays down nicely, smooth and looks very good. It also has a very good spray pattern and easy trigger. WalMart. Good Luck,
