son's DELL desktop, don't know what he did to it but at start up it only shows a tiny sliver at top of screen, I can only make out windows vista prem home edition & the red shut down tab, but the ENTIRE log on screen shows up in safe mode OK ??? please save me from a call to India
if it's not hardware, you can restart, press f8 on startup, and start in vga mode, then reinstall the display driver, that may work if he hosed up the graphics driver
was a driver problem for some reason Microsoft updater keeps changing the driver from an ATI Raedon to a VisionTek Raedon POS
