I know there a lot of cycling guru's on here, so i figure this is as good a place as any to ask. My girl really wants a bicycle so she can start riding to work and riding to keep in shape. So I'm thinking about surprising her and getting one for her. She's not very picky and would probably be happy with anything but neither of us know a damn thing about them. I have a specialized 29'er mtb. Thinking of putting road tires on that myself as I can never get down to the trails to ride. So what should I be looking for? Don't want to break the bank. Thinking maybe $2-400. Don't mind used. She's 5'5 ish and thin. And sorry, no pics, haha.
My wife got a Trek skye to ride back and forth to work on and we havn't had any issues, think we paid $400 for it new but see if there are any on CL.
