I asked this question on another Bulletin Board but wanted to post it here too.

Can a front DOT (Metzeler or Michelin) go the full six hours on a dry Summit track? This will be our first six hour race and our front was still performing very well at the end of the four hour at VIR.

We've been using the same Standard compound front Pilot since 1999 and haven't been able to wear it out yet.

Have you totalled the mileage on that tire? That's GOTTA be some sort of world record. Let's see average 10 races a year thats 20 - 24 races on a single front tire!!!! I've heard of making tires last but jeeeeez thats a looong time. If I kicked in for part of a set of tires at Indy and Putnam when I rode with you last time I think I get a refund don't I? I mean, since we only used a rear right?
