would a brass compression fitting be OK to use to seal an add-on oil cooler line?

the reason I ask is because all of them I find are rated at 250deg max and it will probably be getting just over that.

if not, any ideas on how to plumb a 5/16 s.steel tube to the side cover? I dont want to add a flex hose because this tube is coming out of a flex hose.

    thx
