We had a 1971 Matador station wagon (w/ 304 V8) - my folks received it in time so it could be shipped to Germany (Karlsruhe, my dad's last year in the Army). I still recall the time we were on the autobaun, and my dad was trying to keep up with an older couple in an Audi. He had it floored, and we were cruising around 100MPH. We could pass the Audi downhill, while he would re-pass us on uphills. The Audi driver's wife was sleeping the whole time, and my mom was screaming at the top of her lungs, telling my dad to slow down. I'd wave to the Audi driver, and he would wave back with a smile. Another example of the good times I had as a kid. ;--)
I still can't believe I drove from Atlanta to Vegas to LA and the only one I passed was at the exit for Barber.
You may be in the same boat as me. I almost never have a reason to drive on that portion of I-75, no matter where I'm coming from, or going to.
