I tend to avoid most of the “top shelf” adaptations of a well established whiskey because I definitely agree with you on the Maker’s… and Jameson too.. I really just don’t like their “reserve” or “black barrel” stuff as much as their original.

For the price point and my taste, Jameson is unbeatable.

So if SHTF and I find myself in some mad max situation… there’s as good of a chance of stumbling upon “my drink” as any!

I had to cut out beer in college… later to find out it was the gluten messing me up. I switched to whiskey and Coke exclusively, until I messed my teeth up. 5k of dental work later and I’m finding myself drinking Jameson on the rocks more often than not.

After finally settling into Jameson, many blackouts later I found myself trying to out drink the melting of my ice, causing myself some real problems!

So here we are, madly in love with a nice warm glass of Jameson after all!

That said, Bulleit is holding a close second. Their Rye Whiskey at a pub I used to work at led me to Whistle Pig, and some Knob Creek Rye.. all this rambling has me planning another run to the store in search of a new to me Rye Whiskey blend!

I will have to try that Knob Creek Rye, looks like it is under $40.

Try angels envy rye. To me, best rye I've had. Bulleitt is my daily drinker for bourbon, but their rye is not great. Angels envy bourbon is good, not great, but their rye is phenomenal.

Will have to try Angels Envy Rye too. After some posts on here, someone that knows booze way better than me, I think it was @tophyr, said what I described as liking is a good Rye. I already know I like scotch and like something many guys don't which is the peaty/smokey Scotch, Laguvulin 16.
