Hey everyone. New to WERA. I raced a a few times with MS the past couple years. Would like to race at your next event at Roebling Rd. on my Ninja 250. A few questions....
Can I use the number 622?
The other org did not require a steering damper for 250s. Does WERA?
Same question with the OEM airbox which I do not have anymore?
A normal race day is two practice sessions in the am, then how many races for 250 class?
Would the 250 class run with another class?
I have a 2014 lisence from MS. Is WERA race school required?
How many laps per race normally?
That's it for now I think. Thanks

Thanks for the info and welcomes. I will indeed RTFRB (I had to look up the meaning for that one!) :) I'm 54 yrs. old so the medium weight senior class looks interesting. But a 250 may not be competitive?

    Thanks again

    Jeff-

    Rulebook Chapter 9, ยง7:

MEDIUMWEIGHT SENIOR SUPERBIKE EXPERT & NOVICE

Up to C Superbike & Formula 2 machinery.

Your two-fiddy Ninja is an F3 bike, and also legal in F2 as a bump-up. Running it in MW SR SB is a 2-class bump up. A 2 class bump up may be allowed; however, the class was based on "C" machines. A race-only 2-stroke 250 - think TZ or similar race-only machines - had no problems hanging with 4-stroke street machines. The concern was and is speed differential. Check with Mongo on your bike being allowed nowadays

Click here for the history & discussion on the start of Senior Superbike. Keep in mind things were different back then.

    Also, check your PM...

OK So MW Senior is out but it looks like I could get in two races on Sat and at least one on Sun. That would make the 10 hr trip worth it. Not to mention seeing a new to me track, much warmer temps, and meeting some new people! And getting back on the bike. Been a long winter. Pirelli tires are normally available right?

RRR in March can be cold still. Pirelli will be there, contact James Bock, i think his name here is PirelliTireGuy, to make sure he has 250 tires. Also Stickboy will be there and normally has B-stones it.

Tuna and his crew from Cincy will be coming down, you may be able to pair up with them so you're not by your self

Just bought airbox off eBay! For the damper, the type that clamps to the fork and the other end bolts to the frame, about 10" in length, looks like a small shock absorber, would it be acceptable?
