Headed to Nashville TN for a few Days what's the Cool shit to do... Short list as of now......... Grand Ole Opry Graceland JackDaniels Plant Blue Bird Cafe
 But the number 1 (maybe number 2) thing you've got to have on your list is sneaking in to Broome's toyhauler and taking a dump!
Graceland is in Memphis. Jack Daniels distillery is about a 90 minute drive from downtown Nashville. Check out The Hermitage, the Parthenon replica, the Country Music Hall of Fame, Loveless Cafe, Cheekwood, Tennessee State Museum, and the Lane Motor Museum. Wander around Broadway and Printers Alley. Eat BBQ at Jack's.
What he said and definitely a Preds game! If you can afford a hotel downtown, do it as most is in walking distance and cab it to some of the more than walking attractions. Every place has a band and good food, several microbreweries and the best part, Nashville isn't over priced! Enjoy!
What type of activities do you like? If you like country, you'll be in heaven. Looking for a trashy/tourist bar scene - Broadway Street has a big selection of country/honky-tonk/etc. bars. The Gaylord Opry hotel has a great Atrium to check out, if you're into that. It's one of the most impressive ones I've ever seen. The Jack Daniels tour is cool, but it is in Lynchburg, a decent drive to the south. It's free, but it's also in a dry county FYI. The predators do put on a good show if you're into Hockey. If you're into historical mansions / botanical gardens, Cheekwood is nice. Opry Mills mall (next to Gaylord Opry), has a large assortment of outlet shops. It's a ridiculously sized mall. There are always concerts going on at the dozen or so venues here, do a ticketmaster search and you'll probably find something you like. There is a country music hall of fame located just off Broadway, never been in, but I imagine it's full-on country. Local brewers: Yazoo, Blackstone, Cool-Springs Brewery, Turtle Anarchy, Black Abbey, TN Brew works, Czann's, Fat Bottom, Jacakalope, Mayday....we like our beer If you're into car racing, Nashville Speedway has a few events still: http://www.fairgroundsspeedwaynashville.com/schedule
all good points/ideas above. if you end up doing the music thing, check out schedule for Ryman Auditorium. neat to go to the "church of country music"....aka, original home of the opry. "hip" area is the gulch. lots of bars and eateries. germantown is nice for dining too. tends to be festivals in that area (oktoberfest, tomatofest, winefest....you name it) if you run out of things to do, heading down to Downtown Franklin, TN is nice too. old fashion town square, 20 minutes south of nashville (can be on the way to JD) and you can shop/eat or visit the civil war battlefields (battle of franklin was a big one). puckett's has good bbq and live music each night, but you will want reservations to be sure you get a seat. (a lot like blue bird cafe)
Jack Daniels if you have time is cool even if you don't drink. Great place to see a game. Every bar has live music it seems like. Grand Ole is a thumbs down unless you are into that kind of thing.
Loveless Cafe for breakfast. Worth the drive. Nashville has some great parks too. Go to Imogene and Willie and get some REALLY expensive custom made hipster jeans.
Isn't overpriced except for the downtown hotels - they aspire to, and often reach, Manhattan hotel prices.
The Tail of The Dragon...so you can hold the outright record for a vacation lap. (Warm up will be the ride from Nashville)
