No but I am freaking deaf from that moron. If you slam the weights on the ground, you are not doing proper dead lifts. The greatest benefit is in controlling the weight on both the contraction and negative. BTW, same asshole did not rack his weights. Go figure.
And you can burn calories and work on your deadlifts at the same time! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
only one new face at mine, but i get in at 4 am and the "regulars" are all doing cardio except for me and one other guy.
Meh. Most of the New Year's crowd is upstairs doing cardio. Why you would want to go to the gym to do cardio when you live in S. Fla is another question. This is the time of year I buckle down on running / cycling. Coincides nicely with the start of the season and the D-200.
You should be happy that so many people are taking a passing interest in their fitness. Hopefully some of them stick to it though most won't.
That is probably the main crossfit exercise I just don't get. How do they not knock their teeth out on the bar? I'm sure that's a heck of a core workout but no way it's worth the risk.
That's the way I remember girls and wimpy dudes trying to do pull-ups in gym class when I was in grammar school. That vid is one of my favorite cross-fit fails. I like to call it the "Self-Powerbomb"
My gym has been packed, but mostly with dang kids on xmas break. They come in packs and park on a machine for 30 minutes and yap more than work out. I go at lunch time. parking lot has been full but I can still get to the machines I need to. Past couple years the New Years crew only last 3 weeks.
