The Washington Motorcycle Road Racing Association (WMRRA) is happy to announce two major endurance events at our regions newest facility; The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Wa. Not sure what you've heard about this new track, but it is legit. Check out www.ridgemotorsportspark.com for more info on the track.

We have two races scheduled on Memorial Day and two on Labor Day. We will run the LW, MW, and HW classes together and will have entirely separate events for the ever popular Ninja 250's (CBR's can play too). As it stands there will be a 6 hour for the big bikes and a two hour for the Ninja's on Memorial day. On Labor Day it will be 4 hours each. In addition, we'll have a participation based payout for Overall, and each class! For more details, keep your eye on the WMRRA.com website and RoadRacingWorld.com.

More reason to be Endurance racing in 2012!

WMRAA is working on a few more suprises as well. Stay tuned....:)

Ducati and Dunlop have announced very favorable contingencies for 2012! Bring your Dunny/Bridgestone shod 848 and you could have a very good day indeed....

Also, you didn't hear this from me ;) but there's a hole in our 250 endurance rules. If your check book is fat enough, bring your Moto3 bike and owwwwnnnn the class.:wow:

Hmmm....used Moriwaki's are pretty cheap, compared to a Moto3 bike. I just sold one.

Depends on how Miller goes, and how the team feels.

We are transporting two bikes to Atlanta for the remainder of WERA season the week before the June race, so, as you can see, the schedule is jammed up. That said, I really want to run The Ridge.

Is the NW race predicated on pre-reg entries? Endurance is dying a slow death, and if a local race, at a new venue cannot attract sizable local interest, it simply wont get off the ground.

We've got decent light and middleweight interest. 250 interest is slow but we're working on it. Send in your pre-reg form and show interest. You won't get charged if you don't show or the event doesn't happen for some reason. If you do make it I'll have a cooler full of good beer for you to raid....

The E-race is officially a go! Currently we have 11 "big bikes" and 5 Ninjas. I believe there are 3-5 additional teams working on paperwork as we speak. A good number of lightweights are already registered, it's going to be an awesome SV battle for sure.

As has been mentioned, the track is friggin incredible. As for competition, we have AMA level competitors joining us, the WMRRA #1 and #3 and #4 plate holders, the current #1 and #2 in the points, and WMRRA presidents past and present. A decent OMRRA contingent is expected as well including the reigning OMRRA Superteams champions.

This is an excellent opportunity to test your metal against the very best our club has to offer on what is arguably one of the coolest tracks in the country. It really is that good.... Facilities are sparse given the newness of the track, but the character of it more than makes up for the lack of amenities.

We have a fairly large Washington contingent coming to Miller this week. We'll be at the track day on Friday as well as the 6 hour on Saturday, and will be enjoying the sprint racing on Sunday, largely as spectators. Feel free to hit us up, ask questions, bench race etc.... We really hope to see a few WERA regulars with us at The Ridge at least.:Poke:

    Thanks,

Well ladies and gentlemen; you missed an epic day of endurance racing on May 28th at The Ridge Motorsports Park. The weather held out for us most of the weekend, only the Ninja 250 endurance was ran in the wet.
The big bike endurance race began with the track owner shaking the hand of each competitor on the grid (literally on the grid) and wishing them good luck. Have you ever seen or heard tell of that kind of involvement from a track owner? I haven’t…
As advertised we had some very serious competition. The lightweight battle was a see saw one that ended up with the top two teams on the same lap. The overall winner completed 195 laps, on a 600cc machine, on a track nobody had raced on yet! Simply amazing.
The best part? No mechanicals, and no crashes during the 6 hour. None. There was one minor off in the 250 Endurance race earlier in the day, but he was able to ride it to the pit and get back in the race.
We had a few first time endurance riders that joined us, and every one of them indicated that this race, on this track, was the best time they’d had on a motorcycle. I truly hope that some of you will come to our September event and join us in the fun.
