I have a bunch of barely used gear that I kept after I retired that I'd like to get out of my basement. I know I'm not going racing again, and I don't wanna hassle with selling it. If there's an easy way for me to give it to someone without me having to run all over the place, then that would be great. I have almost new Sidi boots, Alpinestar boots, several back protectors, some Held gloves, Shoei helmets, a Respro rain top..probably some other stuff. Is there an easy way for me to help someone out with this stuff? Thanks
Get enough retired gear, offer it for use to orange shirts. Might get a few people to come try racing.
Definitely a good idea. Probably more oriented towards street riders, but hell getting them on the track period is a good start!
Maybe do a wera bbs pseudo auction (just a thread where peeps respond with their highest bid), local pickup only, with the proceeds going the the air fence fund?
That's who I meant by orange shirts. The track day guys would also be wearing orange shirts, but they already have their own gear.
I have nothing to add but to say that this is a very cool and unselfish thing you are doing, Kris.
I'm probably the only one with size 13 boots - have you checked Riders Discount? They were selling some nice stuff super cheap.
You could send it to Motorcycle Gear, they have a customer closet to sell used gear. Not sure if you get store credit or cash, but its a decent option because they do all the work for you.
