    It is far south in Europe so would it even be between western europe and russia? Of course we know the ex-KGB officer is certainly telling the truth....

    Great. Another arms race. Only this time we have our guy who's work experience was hanging curtains in ghettos going up against an ex KGB agent. Our team looks to be a bit outgunned here...

    Seems to be positioned in a good strategical position between say Syria and Iran rather then Moscow?

    The idea that a small system of interceptors would be any threat to the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces is laughable at best. Of course, with the elements already in place it'd be far easier to surge and create a system capable of putting a dent in a Russian attack than if we started from zero. But doing so would precipitate a nuclear strike anyway, so I don't see how it's any threat to them. Russia won't be drawn into an arms race because they're broke.
