Message to DORNA

I just read that DORNA is giving $4.4 million to each of the 7 non-factory MOTO GP teams next year.
Here's an idea: give $8 million to the best satellite team at the end of the year, and $1 million to the worst satellite team, with a graduated scale of payments. I know, it's a radical idea, competition and all that rot!

 

No ... I believe Dorna's thinking is to help " All " N.F. Teams so as to tighten up the racing . More $$ to only the best , leaves the other Six out in the cold .

I don't think its meant as a reward, but funding in order to compete(more bikes on grid).

 

Wouldn't you give more money to the team that finishes further back, to get them closer to the front?

And no, scaling makes no sense because then that would be a purse and would pay more than the actual championship.

 

Guess that depends on what you spent to compete to start with.
