meatloaf- ketchup or gravy?

Which belongs on top of meatloaf- ketchup or brown gravy? Is this regional, or just random family recipes? I prefer ketchup.

I have the same problem ! Mine doesn't really like it, she knows I do so she might make it twice a yr. When she does it's either ketchup or bbq sauce.

If you are talking about while baking, I go with half catsup - half srirachi mixed together.

Mine said that her mom fixed it so much as a kid that she won't touch it.

But she will make a mean Salisbury/onion steak thing, so go figure (in my book it's damn near the same thing)

 

i'm that way with sloppy joe's for that very reason. i think it was my Mom's easy goto meal since between my brother and me the house was always full of hungry kids/friends.
