man with two heads

Discussion in '2-Stroke Machines' started by Johnny Wonder, Jan 13, 2002.

  1. i run a 95 honda 125, when i bought the bike it came with two heads, one marked NX-E2, the other NX-E1, i have always run the E-2 head, my question is what is the difference and is the E1 head compatible for my bike

With the bike being a few years old now, anything could have been done to the heads. It depends on the fuel you use, standard '95 and '96 heads are for Leaded fuel. It would be best to get the head volume measured so you know if it is correct for the fuel you use. Whoever you bought the bike from should be able to tell you if there are any mods to the heads.

You should be able to see the difference in volume. One is probably used for leaded(less volume) fuel and the other for unleaded (more volume). That would be my guess. If you determine that you have a lead head hich you don't want, I might take it off your hands.
