They were casting actual dwarfs for the roles. I mean, I thought that is what Hollywood demanded now. How dare a straight person play a gay anymore. That role has to be played by a gay actor. And how dare an actor with sight dare play a blind person. The sky screaming that goes on when that happens. So, here, they are casting dwarfs instead of doing to the Lord of the Rings height manipulation and that is wrong too? Because they live in a cave? Newsflash, they are mythical creatures in the story. It's like getting mad that Andy Serkis is playing a 500 year old Hobbit that lives in caves wearing a loincloth.

And the dwarfs don’t live in a cave, they live in a cottage. They’re hard working miner midgets not cavemidgets.
