Well, my wife was last Wednesday, nothing major but she got the scumbag's plate number. Filed a police report and nothing has happened since then. Gave the plate to a cop buddy of mine, he gave me the name and address of the Dbag that hit us. Same night it happened I go to the apartment complex he lives at and sure enough the car is there, big dent in front right fender with matching white paint of my wife's car. So I have video and pics of that as well.

Called our insurance, we have a $500 deductible and our damage is pretty minor (small dent/crease down quarter panel and scratches) but I want it fixed. Insurance adjuster took almost a week to get back with us, we'll have to pay the deductible then (I think) they will go after him. Called police today, they still haven't got to the police report, gave them the plate number and they are calling Dbag tomorrow to get his side of the story.

Soooo, what would you guys do? Turn into your insurance and let them handle it, sue the guy in small claims court? This is a new one for me and you guys seem to have been in every imaginable situation possible. Thank you for your advice! PS: We are a "no fault" state.

Give the police and insurance the plate number, let them go from there.
But it sure would be a shame if the guy's car ran into other problems over the next couple weeks.

I would just pay the deductible and get the car fixed now. Then let your insurance go after his (assuming he has ins). If not they you'd have to get it out of him in court I suppose.

Pretty sure that he would come out to 4 valve stems being trimmed off at the rim if I could do it without getting caught...

But some 2part epoxy kits from hardware store and a small funnel

Drain the isocyanate part only into the gas tank.

    Leave.

Then get your insurance and cops involved.

Leave your phone at home when you do this with GPS turned on and have your kids play with it.

Ride a bicycle to the scene if you can.

Also do Recon. The week before and figure out his schedule as well as the neighbors. Check for cameras, those fuckers are everywhere.

    Yes.

Also pay cash while wearing a hat when you buy said supplies and throw them away immediately after.

Pour some galium in the oil filler. Should lead to odd engine issues.
