Just happened to be flipping through the channels and damn that was a bad crash. It looked like something you see in a movie, cars in flames every where.
Here's a good link to watch the video and read about it. http://sports.yahoo.com/nascar/blog...ni7teOXf6QkQuU0Eu8Rwlk5nYcB?urn=nascar-wp4538
Was looking forward to a great title battle. Now I'm just hoping everyone is OK. I've been watching IndyCars since the 60's. With the exception of the Swede Savage crash, probably the worst multiple car accident I've ever seen.
Yeah..... me too. I mean, those guys are strapped in so well, and their little cock pits are like virtually indestructible, BUT........ that was a gnarly crash. HOPEFULLY the chopper ride was more of a precautionary thing.
Wheldon is just pure class. I was so happy when he won the 500; I've have seldom seen a racer that enjoyed a victory as much as he did that day Man I hope he is alright.
Yup, and all drivers being called to a meeting coupled with the sombre mood in the pits is a bad sing.
Ugh, terrible stuff to watch. Best wishes to Weldon and anyone else injured. And on a brighter note, nice job to the safety crew at LVMS. In the video linked in this thread there is literally a emergency truck CHASING a burning car to a stop to help put out the fire. Very impressive.
