A lot of you guys already know the bike but I'm trying to help Kurts wife sell his bikes. Problem is I'm not really sure what his FZ600 is worth. The bike was originally built by Speedwerks but the motor started losing power and was replaced by a stock motor. Any help with value would be appreciated or if your interested in purchasing it please let me know.

Thank you for the kind offer but it’s not necessary. They are in a good place financially right now. This is more about putting the bikes in the hands of people who will continue to use them. Plus I believe it will help get ride of some constant reminders and maybe also give them a little closure.

Do you/know anything about the motor he was having built to put in it? I gave him some base gaskets for the build, Without knowing exactly what it has for suspension, brakes and spares I would put it in the $2000 to 2500. I have 3 of them and my best one is way worse than Kurts and I would look to get $1200 - 1500 for mine, if I was selling, which I am not,

Given that impressive build list, it should sell for $4 - 5K. I suspect $3500 is a more realistic number, but if anyone gets it at that price is getting a bargain. Just the carbs, shock, wheels, brakes, worked forks and built motor are worth more than that. Whoever gets it at any price, better get it on the track or put it in their living room.

I know the person that originally had Speedworks build the bike. He had serious money into it. Just look at the Speedworks list of stuff in it and then there is the labor and knowledge value. IMO, it's worth good coin.

I am late to the party, but I agree with this assessment. Here is the bike in action at Road Atlanta, with me chasing. The bike needs to go to someone who will race it. Will have to be re-sprung because I can guarantee Kurt will be riding along with whoever buys it!
