Louis Gagne (iyfphoto) told me that Armstrong's lung performance was tested (I don't know how) and he was found to process more oxygen per breath than anyone in the history of this test. I'll bet he smokes non-filters.

It may have been on the Discovery Channel.. The science of Lance or something. He also produces less lactic acid and also can displace it at a faster rate than normal/average,, They did a bunch of test like this. Neat show.
