... sure, it was across the Alabama state line ... and we were in trucks pulling trailers ... and I'm sure he wasn't aware it turned into a race ... but it totally counts right?
It does. I remember when I beat Jimmy. Mellow Mushroom, circa 2012. I finished my slice before he did. It felt amazing to compete at that level. I stopped in the parking lot on the way tot he truck to thank Paul @ Dunlop. Shit got weird.
Hot damn!! I'll have to thank my daddy for being an awesome mechanic, he changed the oil & put 2 new tires on my truck for me ... and both my parents for the double dose of competitiveness (my daddy raced late model dirt & my momma barrel races). Oh, and thanks to Joe for actually racing at NOLA & setting me up to be in the position to make that pass!
Dude, mellow mushroom was freaking awesome! Was one of the best parts of being down at Ft. Benning for a week and a half!
Last time I got involved in a trailer race it was towards Barber down I-65. Dude left the door open on the I-20 exit ramp and I managed to effect a nice block pass on the inside. Once I showed him a fender it was over.
I went by Jimmy & he pulled into my draft but I was able to pull away on the straight (and very flat I-10)
I have won so much shit on the roads it isn't funny. Last time I was home we were coming back from a Mexican restaurant and I was driving fast, passing people etc. Lora was like "why are you driving so fast?", I was like "so I can be in front?". She was like "we are just going home, why does it matter?". I said "because winning".
Racers race. A win is a win. You snooze, you lose. Take it anyway you can get it! (I use this one a lot) Were you racng for pink slips?
