Ed Sorbo was the first (maybe only?) to make a mount. Fork mount, and a piece that had to be riveted to frame. Also required cutting the left side plastic piece that sat on the upper cowl/fairing.

An F2 F3 steering damper are the same.
If you can buy one that mounts in fairing in nose that the easiest one.
It's short just so you know.

Will a scott's top mount work?

Probably not unless you can fabricate a mounting system.
But that damper is worth more than the bike. Lol
Those where cruisers with a sport feel.
    I had a 87. 600 and an 89 I raced when I started.

Yeah, I rode a buddies 1K-Hurricane on backroad in 1988....big/heavy/soft/fast.

I have front mount for a Hurricane using a Daytona short damper.
im pretty sure i have the damper, bracket and
fork tube clamp. It requires the head lite be removed?
Its race only set up. if your interested? ill gather up the parts
    and inspect them.

I thought you were going with the FZR this year.........no? I'd give you my opinion between the 2 ,but its already biased towards the yamaha:D But you can do more classes with the FZR and won't have to readjust mentally hopping between bikes. Hope to catch up at Summit in June.Thats likely the only roadracing I will do this year. My daughters already got 3rd place points in her hare scrambles class,so we are focusing on chasing points for her this year, and whatever is left in the wallet will be for me:confused: :D
