Okay, we all know that crashes are inevitable... We push things to thier extremes and sooner or later we get bit. How often do you crash in a season of racing?
I try hard for no crashes...but I consider 1 or less per season great..... Im at 2 this year already though.. Grrrrr.
I'm not a big crasher but have been down twice this year. Didn't crash once my first two years racing but twice last year and twice this year. Normally its an outside force bringing me down (swingarm broke, lost brakes, rain, etc..) but I finally tucked the front just from too much braking. Not a bad track record for how much I am out there though.
I crash about once a year and always in the same way. I ask too much of the front and it washes. After Sunday, I dont know how much more my shoulder can take.
no doubt i'll crash in my next race after posting in this thread, but i've gone 57 sprints plus practices without soil sampling. its just a matter of time now........
3 times in 7 years. I'm not overly fast I've never been hurt though (knocking on wood) and have two perfect looking collarbones.
Once this year, Two broken ribs. Once last year, 5 ribs and a chest tube. Before that it had been since spring 1999, then 1994. I was overcome with stupid in the late 80's to 91 but back then I seemed to bounce better. I think about 10 times total in 20 years
3 times this year, twice in a weekend the first someone used me as a burm for turn 3 at nelson the second I lost the front at Beaver, my fault the third someone just let off the throttle as I was going around them and I had to brake so hard I ended up in the grass. I crashed once at a trackday other than that. out of 8 trackdays
I had 2 crashes at the beginning of this year (2nd and 3rd rounds of SE region) but haven't had one since only had one last year just doing trackdays, used tire warmers all year but didn't have power the very last TD and went into T5 @ Barber full speed on the first lap lol
