...of rain will we get this weekend at Summit? I'll say 2. Who loves ya RD? Saturday: Cloudy with thundershowers. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the mid 40s. Sunday: Periods of light rain. Highs in the mid 60s and lows in the low 40s.
That sounds about right Steve. I think it'll be a repeat of last years' weather, but I'm for the opposite. Thanks for reminding me to check the forecast. Jess
As for the original question, I predict maybe half an inch. One quarter inch during race 1 and one quarter during race 9. Or even better, 30 minutes before the above races so I can mount rain tires only to find the track dry and then get to burn up $250 worth of rain tires in an 8-lap sprint race. Or some other equally annoying thing like that. I just hope we don't have a repeat of 1999 (I think) where it was 40 degrees and pouring down rain. The 6" deep puddle in turn 7-8 was not cool.
Oh good, it's getting worse... I love getting firsts in the rain. Saturday: Thunderstorms. Highs in the mid 70s and lows in the low 50s. Sunday: Mainly cloudy with rain. Highs in the mid 50s and lows in the mid 40s.
Send the rain down to Pittsboro NC because my dirt track needs some rain. Yesterday I looked like Pig Pen when I finished riding the XR100.
