    Cooter! Sarcasm level: Maximum

Reductio ad absurdum:moon: Of course aware and prepared is best, just sayin' one is more important than the other. I rarely ever wear headphones in public and keep my hood off or set-back. It won't help the meteor strike though, but YMMV.

Always cut the strings off my hoodies...they drive me nuts.

They're always in my peripheral vision.

But, I never put the hood up over my head, either.....

I hate scarves and the hood helps keep my neck warm in colder weather.

Meh...personally, I think hoodies on anyone over 18 look stupid.

Same here but for very specific things I'm good with a hood - standing on the deck with the dog in the yard in the winter is all I can think of right now.

Now this I disagree on, especially a parka that is longer. I go for keys or a knife or a wallet all the time just zipping up from the bottom.

I have been wearing a hoodie (bunny hug here in Saskatchewan) since winter started. It was -15 freedom units here earlier this week, and all I wore was a t-shirt and a hoodie. I do pull the hood up when I am outside. Being follically challenged necessitates having the noggin covered.
