At that point no-one can argue jack schitt about who was better and who has the resume and who can't play defense and... and... and....

If they beat GA, they'll get bumped to #1 and won't lose to Clemson until the finals.

 

I'm hoping after LSU beats GA they do get the #1 spot and get rolled by #4Utah. Then #2OSU rolls #3Clemson. Then Utah rolls OSU.

Back in the days of the BCS, a particular team was ranked 6th IIRC, and needed 4 higher-ranked teams to lose on the final weekend to be able to get to the championship game.

All 4 lost, and the 6th place team got to the BCS Championship game.

Which they won.
