I bought this Insane hawk GT here, It has a Gixxer front End and front Wheel.

The guy I bought it from has no Idea what year its from. I need to order some parts and find a spare wheel. Please Look at the pics and see if you can figure it out

    Thank you

well.... looks just like my forks off my TL1000R.... Plus it has 6 pot calipers, not 4....

so its either a TL1000R front end or i believe 01-03 gsxr 1000????

thats a start.... how many MM are the rotors?

edit: i believe from 2003 on the gsxr forks are either gold or black... correct? and the 600 didnt use an usd fork until 04-05...

Didn't the 1000 have nitrided forks. They look to be from a 750

    CB186 go f@ck yourself

def not 03 1000 forks, as they have radial calipers, gold uppers and black nitrated lowers.

    I was thinking a 2000 750.

Either an 97-99 SRAD or TL set of forks.

Those were the only model years that could accept the black 6pot calipers.

The 01-02 had gold 6 pots but had different mount points.

    edit-Busa also possible

96-99 GSXR 750. Should be Showa Forks...... TLR Used Kayaba

    Matt H ah, mi scusi

The 01-02 1000 had gold folks and calipers (and yes they were 6-pots).

600's did not have upside down until 04, and did not have 6-pots when they did.

750's had upside down, but not 6-pots.

So has to be a pre-2000 GSXR of some sort (not knowledgeable on those), or another bike.

Yep, what he said. TL/TLR and Busa should also interchange wheels and brakes.

    TWF2 2 heads are better than 1

diameter of fork at lower triple will tell you if srad gsxr or TL.

    They are Showa Forks,

    I am leaning towards Busa

If they are Showa forks then they are from a GSXR 750 96-99....Little known fact. Suzuki uses Showa suspensions on motorcycles less then 750cc... Kayaba 751cc and above... That may have changed but that was the corporate gig most of the 90's and since....

Cool, Either way The 2 Sixpot calipers are way Overkill For my little 340lb Bike.

I am thinking of going single rotor single caliper.

    Thanks everyone for your help

That is either a 96 or 97 GSXR-750 front end. The 98-99 are the same forks (Showa) and tokico 6 pot calipers but had 8 button rotors vice 10 button, which are on this bike.

The 10 button rotors are the best by the way. The 8 buttons were a little lighter but warped pretty easily with race use.
