Grom Killer? Kawasaki Z125

I put 1 mile on it and realized this thing will need a lot more go

 

The Grom is fast out the box

 

I'll be doing the 300 swap soon, the donor bike actually has whopping 32 miles on the clock

 

Has anyone put a 250F motor in one yet?

 

A guy at the local dealership has a crf 450f motor in his Grom. I'm sure it goes like hell but the service intervals if he rode the thing would be crazy.

 

compared to the Grom or just in general??

 

Ride it with the brights off.

I expected a big pop on the dyno followed by a "parts release".

 

In general, I think their (Grom vs z125) 0-60 mph is almost identical. I've never been on a bike where you could just wack the throttle open and not a whole lot happens.

How can you have 0-60 on a bike that will only go 50?

Oh trust me, I did. Watched it in probably 90 seconds...

 

The oem brakes on the z125 are scary bad. Starting with the line, giving Core Moto a try after putting Spiegler lines on all of my bikes for the last 10+ years.
Kawi green line/ black logo/ Kawi green fittings combo here, also using Spiegler banjo bolts but switching to the speedbleeder built in version bolts.

 

Brake lever feel/ firmness is good, the stopping power is not there though.
The oem master goes out next.




Who can chime in on the difference b/n the Brembo rcs14 and rcs15?

 

Bigger rotor and a 4 pot caliper are going on as soon as parts are available, similar to this setup on the Grom:
