Help me solve an argument You go to dinner, concert, club, etc.. and the valet pulls your car around.

Do you open the door for your wife/girlfriend/date or do you wait for the valet to do it?

I would open the door. I got lazy in my marriage doing it, but now been through being single and in a relationship I have started to make a point to do it again. Its a great gesture to end a good night at dinner or wherever... You gettin the sucky sucky for sure!

The valet is bringing the car. You should open the door for your wife/girlfriend/date.

Parking cars was my full time gig out of high school... most times I would hold the door for the driver and another valet would get the passenger door for the date... unless the dude said "I got it" too many perv valets looking up chicks skirts so I get it. Sometimes a chick by herself would want me to look but I just turned my head like a gentleman.

That would depend on who you want her to be more impressed with,
    you or the valet.

You realize where you posed this question, right?

Right about here is where your wife looks at you and screams, ""WHO'S THIS AMY BITCH???""

    :D

To answer the question, though, YOU open your date's door. Then you tip the valet. Then you drive off.

I parked cars too. I always walked around the front, opened the door (or at least tried) to unless the driver wanted to handle it. Went back around opened his door and caught the $$ then.

I always open the door. Just how I always was, even when I was married. Seems like the right thing to do.

Cheers to you. I never expected the tip since they had to pay to valet. But it was nice

Depends upon the pronouns you are required to use to address your date.

:crackup:Been doing a lot of garage work and I’m staying very hydrated. Auto correct trying to jack up my plans for later. I don’t open all these doors and shit for my health!

We've lost an excellent first date "tell", though.

If you've seen the movie "A Bronx Tale", you know where I'm going with this. Back in the day, there were no electronic locks. You took your car key, unlocked your passenger door, and opened it for your broad.

As you walked around the back of the car, you watched what she was doing inside. If she didn't have tha common fkn courtesy to reach over and unlock the driver's side door for you....

    DUMP HER.
