My throttle setup is old and battered. Will be upgrading... So I called MP and asked about a Rev2 kit for the 400. They said they don't make one anymore but that they used to. Does anyone here have any insight as to what that setup is and how I can cobble one together. I know there will be a need for a separate ignition run/ start switch but I am not familiar with making my own cables so maybe someone has done it before. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Other FZR guys have said they use a stock R6 tube. Apparently gives a quicker turn, but I have no idea which years,if any, make a difference. I just run all of mine with stock FZR throttle assemblies.
Worst case scenario, adapting a throttle setup from another bike is pretty easy. With some basic measurements MotionPro (or others) can make throttle cables to adapt your setup to your chosen carb rack.
I know that the CBR900 throttle housing is pretty good for the CBr600 series (F through F3), maybe it can work on the FZR? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Honda-CBR9...807795?hash=item3d96ba77b3:g:SRIAAOSwBTldwEgV
