Selling my Martek chassis kit here. Thinking about a different life direction and potentially downsizing on projects. Not in any particular rush.

Chassis kit is hand crafted Martek by Mark Walker in the UK. Has done bikes for Guy Martin and such. Top notch fab work and welding. This kit is to utilize a Yamaha YPVS/Banshee/RZ350 motor in a frame with modern geometry, and a complete Yamaha R6 (06+) front end (or fancier if you choose), as well as Yamaha R6 complete rear end (swingarm, wheel, shock, linkage), making it cost effective to build and easy to find cool parts for. (example at Martek with engine mock-up not mine)

Kit consists of the main frame, engine cradle, hand formed fuel tank, and subframe. Chassis is in my workshop on a stand, in the USA. Price reflects about what they go for give or take on the exchange rate currently, and without the $400 it cost to ship it here to the States and more importantly, the 16 months of waiting list to finally get it.

Here's what's on the chassis currently:

    - Martek Chassis kit
    - 06'+ Yamaha R6 Attack triple clamps, 50/54mm (new OEM bearings and hardware)
    - 01-04' GSX-R600 Vortex rearsets (brand new)

    - 17'+ Yamaha R6 swingarm and linkage
    - Ohlins TTX rear shock
    - Marchesini M7RS forged aluminum rear wheel (brand new)
    - Complete Fast Frank Racing quick change rear end axle kit and Superbike Unlimited caliper bracket (brand new)
    - Brembo 84mm cast rear caliper (matches M4/M50 fronts) (brand new)
    - Superlite 520 40t sprocket (brand new)
    - Superbike Unlimited lightened rear brake rotor (brand new)
    - New OEM Yamaha pivot axle and hardware

A few selling options if you'd like that can be added or not as you see fit, will cut a deal on any bundle of stuff or if you want the whole thing:

Martek Chassis Kit (frame, cradle, tank, subframe, OEM R6 triple clamps, Vortex rearsets): $4500 obo
    Attack Triple Clamps: $700
Complete R6 rear end/shock/wheel/brake (WILL NOT SEPARATE): $4000

PM me if interested. Will ship at buyer's expense. Will meet up with in reasonable distance of the MD/DC/VA area. Any more info just ask. Thank you.

    That's a fun setup.
I bought one of his kits a long time ago, was quite the wait.

Was in process of getting it all going into a TZR chassis, But had a real difference of opinion w that supreme Dk -Fck in Modesto...douchebag incarnate.
So I soured on the entire idea

So I sold a friend the clutch kit..think he put it a Banshee..I don't know why? But that what he wanted to do... lol

I was going to build a TZ ir TZR hybrid...but the used parts market ..the price now just exceeds my enthusiasm , Just not worth it to me.

Your kit and assembly, though is an entirely different prospect though. That's quite a special setup you have.
Gone are the days of building a cost-effective hybrid no matter what your direction.. to do it right you're realistically looking at $20,000 Plus...

Hell ...to sub out a "basic " engine build is over 3,000k now, that's more than that what I paid any of my RZs I've had...

I bought the one in the garage running and rideable for $1500.00...

    Them days are Loooong gone!

If anyone , has the Intent of a custom RZ build, and can complete it.
This dude's setup ..is top notch.

Thanks man. It WOULD be a sweet bike I think. I was planning on trying to do an "almost square" 64x62mm, 399cc build with some smart carbs and a zeel and the dry clutch, but I really want to finish the Vdue, and we're considering moving out of the country potentially in a year or 2, so I'm trying to pre-emptively slim down on projects and "stuff" and finish what I already have.

Everything pictured cost me like $10.5k when I total it up. Clutch/trans in the other sale was like $3500 or so. So yea, figure... motor build, exhausts, carbs, wiring, ignition, fairings, dash of some kind. I have an Ohlins front end for it with Fast Frank stuff, Brembos, Marchesini mag, but I'm keeping that setup. You could go cheaper with R6 stuff for sure to save some bucks. Probably would be an almost $30k all said and done with all those goodies and the built motor, but at like 100whp and 260lbs. or whatever it would end up, I bet it would rip real real hard. If nobody buys, I'll keeps. Its not hurting me none, but figured if somebody wanted it I could let it go. We'll see I guess.

On the "quite" the wait part... I'll just say this, it took 16 months and I had to pay another buddy to go drive 3-4 hours each way and get it for me and ship it. Torn because the work really is top notch, but not sure I would go thru that again. Flakey businessmen drive me freakin nuts, and they're all over the motorbike industry. Hard to avoid sometimes.

You are kidding one bit about the motor ycle crowd. I've been ripped off lied to more times than I can count only by "motorcycle guys".
And generally from a motorcycle forum I got finished with that years ago.
I even got jerked off around on this website from a classified ad some guy claiming to have every yoshimura part I could ever want wasted my time for months and then he disappeared from the face of the planet.. I did get an race exhaust off him. But. What a freaking circle jerk
I only have two people do my work now or I try to do it myself.

    Fk those guys..

So many of them talk like they're the holy Grail and nothing is worse than the two-stroke guys the absolute worst... Unfortunately

People here have been really good to me over the years as far as buying stuff, hopefully I've been the same to them. But yea in general, hard to say...

The thing of it is, there's so many dudes out there with amazing talent at fab work or tuning or whatever. Lots of them need a business partner though to handle supply chain, scheduling, orders, email/communication, etc... Maybe their business or volume can't warrant that though, or maybe they just don't want it to, but that would go a long way. I don't mind waiting for bespoke things as long as communication is constant and good. When you go past deadlines or promises AND don't say anything ever though, that's when it gets me.

26 months for a single cylinder zilla rebuild still tops my list all time. Oh well.

    Haha no idea at all.
