Cops went too far (like, by a mile) and the rioters feel that this is their excuse even though victim started asking everyone to remain calm from his hospital bed before things even started to get bad. Oh, you're talking about the hashtag from last year? I thought Fonda meant an actual established organization like in the US. You know, "BLM France." There are existing anti-racism organizations that have used the slogan in France, that is true. By the way, the incident reported in your links is not what triggered the current state of unrest. It was a police incident in which the "perp's" pants accidentally slipped off, then his underwear slipped off, still by accident, then a baton slipped and penetrated his anus, still by accident, causing a 4 inch tear. He wasn't suspected of anything, by the way. They just wanted to check his ID. Because they can.
