Frank Shockley

Anyone have an update on Frank Shockley? He crashed at RRR in turn three, and from what I could gather, messed up his hand/arm pretty bad... just looking for updates as to his condition. - Jill

 

Last I heard from the ER before I left the track was a broken left wrist & bruised ribs. That was a bad one!

edit - Helen was hanging in there the best she could late yesterday.

Ryan thought his front wheel hit Frank during the ensuing tumble.

 

Krodaddy just told me it's a compound wrist fracture that they can't work on for 48 hours, eight broken ribs and a collapsed lung...

Who has the Skid Pad Helmet now? the latest iteration of the tradition is to sign it in the hospital.

Damn. I've been lurking mostly of late. This news sucks. First Dale get's hurt last fall and now Frank.

oh, man. none of that can be good...if you can call any injury good.

seems whenever someone gets hit, it's ribs and lungs.
compound wrist is gonna be an awful heal/rehab.

franks one of the nicest people i met since i got here and woz a real help when i put the mille R back together last year...
