FBI has locked my computer

I get home last night and my wife is in a panic. She says she was on the computer and this page came up and locked the computer. its from the FBI Cyber Crime Unit, saying that this computer has been involved in one of the following felonious activities and has been locked. Illegal downloading of music, punishable by up to 4 years and and 250k fine, Child porn, punishable by up to 9 years. Goddamn honey, what did you hit. Nothing i swear she says, i was just looking up how much was to much cheese to give to our dogs as treats." They do love their sharp cheddar cheesy bones that we give them". I start reading this page, and my ass is puckered up so tight you couldnt drive a 10 penny nail up it with a sledge hammer. That is until you get to the end, where it tells you to send 200 dollars by Green Dot or some shit like that and they will unlock your computer.Then you would have 72 hours to get the illegal shit off your computer or they would lock it again and proceed with felony charges It had links to where you could go to get your Green Dot money pak, places like WalMart, Speedway, etc etc. I started laughing my ass off and said, i hope you didnt send any money, she swears she didnt. I asked her if she didnt think it was a little funny that the FBI would let you buy your way out of a felony for 200 bucks, and she sheepishly told me me she didnt get that far that she had panicked and shut it off and was waiting for the FBI to crash through the door. I love this old gal, and i think its because of that child like innocence that she brings to the table.Anyway, i got to spend the rest of the evening cleaning up the computer, instead of watching live timing from Sepang

 

So, was she looking at porn, or did you leave porn running on it when you left?

 

My fiance' did the absolute exact same thing about 4 months ago. Completely lost her shit flipped out.
I thought it was pretty clever on the hacker's part. The innocence that we love in our ladies is what these cats pray on to make that scam profitable.

hehe... always amused when someone gets duped by those internet tricksters. Like the guy on the morning show here that was detailing his philanthropic plans with the millions he was getting from Nigeria. It almost turned sad when you realized he really did believe the email and the bubble headed blonde showed him her letter.

Let me guess, the money goes to an FBI office in Russia or somewhere else in the former eastern block.

 

I had the same exact thing. I was at NOLA and using my computer when I
got the same thing and they had a web camera that could see me but I could
not see them.. Never had this happen before. Did the same thing she did
shut the computer off and went into panic mode. I was just waiting on the FBI
to come crashing thru my hotel door and arrest me... Called my hubby and he
laughed his butt off at me... So don't give her too much grief.... I was the same
way about paying off Walmart, Rite Aid and that would save me from the FBI

 

There was a guy in Phoenix that got that on his computer about a month ago.

He was scared, so he took his entire child porn collection and his computer and threw it in the dumpster at his apartment complex.

There happened to be a curious old lady that wanted to see what he was throwing out. She called the police and they arrested him.

Not the intended result, but it works!
