Finally getting my F2 back together after a long, and very sucky story. Put the radiator back on today and looked at the fan and scratched my head. Is it worth keeping that thing on there at all? Bike will not be raced likely this season but will see several track days. At the track I am not racing anyone so the little bit of weight loses me no advantage but it is one less thing to worry about failing or being in the way. What say you oh great vintage crew? Also, what replacement radiators are a cheap but meaningful upgrade (mine is sound but looks a little rough).
I would put it back on. Better to be safe during the summer. An F3 radiator is a good upgrade. You will have to modify the mounts.
I took mine off last year, havent seen any issues so far. Just remember that it is not there, if you find yourself idling on the grid or on pit lane.
